Hi everyone! I'm not new to Alchemy, but I'm new here. The coincidences leading me here were a little odd though.

For several years, I've joined one forum after another, (I'm sure I don't have to list them if you've experienced frustration as well), looking for answers, looking for help, and trying to steer clear of the things that just didn't ring true to me. For someone who knew NOTHING about alchemy just 5 short years ago, this has been a long road, needless to say. I've yet to "arrive", but I'm certain I've taken a few right turns in recent months. I've yet to venture into spagyrics, as I believe I still have much to learn before attempting that.

For a couple years, I've mentioned the Leyden letter on several forums, hoping that someone else would feel the same excitement I felt when I read it. Alas, nothing but a bunch of poo-pooers, telling me not to pay much attention to it for one reason or another. I found it in a book called "The Secret Teachings of All Ages" by Manly P. Hall. So, I'd put up the book, never really putting it out of my mind, only to pull it back out again....it kept calling to me. Stupidly, I kept posting the same passage over and over again, hoping to find SOMEONE out there on the same wavelength....but I got nada. No interest whatsoever. I've been given every process imaginable....from the stupid, to the most insanely complex you can imagine. Some I've tried, some I refused to try. But still, the Leyden letter kept beckoning me.

This past December, I finally decided to pursue it on my own. I knew I had found something, and my intuition told me that the process really was simple....long, perhaps, with much spiritual and bodily preparation as well, but still simple. Given all the ancient references I've read, it HAD to be simple! The Leyden process fit this perfectly, and something about it just rang true. Only one portion of this text stuck out, and led me to believe something was missing. I asked around, but yet again, I received nothing, even from friends also on the journey. So, I searched deep down and decided to just go for it, and hoped that somewhere along the way, I'd figure it out.

I bought a small lab burner on Ebay for about $50, a 2000 mil. boiling flask with a glass stopper, and various other small lab items to help. It wasn't much, but that was all I could afford. I already had some dead sea salt, so that was no problem. The issue was in the dew....I live in an extremely dry region. So I improvised, setting out my salt to collect moisture, and then dissolving it in some water. Not sure if the outcome will be what I desire, but I'm in the second week of heating now. For the water, I used some trap water.....not sure if it's a bunch of hooey or not, but I figured it would be better than filtered water if I couldn't get dew.

I took a Pyrex measuring bowl, filled it with water, set the filled boiling flask inside, covered the entire thing with the sticky-sided plastic wrap, and let her go. It took about a week to find the right "spot" on the control....where the water wouldn't boil, yet the heater wouldn't kick off. This is my improvised Bain Marie....for the dry furnace, I had planned on placing some sand in the same Pyrex dish for even heat distribution.

Anyway, recently, I happened upon this site, and read the portion about the Leyden letter. I couldn't believe my eyes. FINALLY! Maybe it's coincidence, maybe not....but I'm glad to finally find folks who were already doing what I am trying to do.

Glad to be here! Smile

Hello Emerald, and welcome,

I thought I would make this my first post since I was new as well. Well, I've also been seeking the stone for a while now. For about two years I've been reading and searching along with my cousins help. We found one of Nick's older site's and have been reading his progress ever since. Almost a 1 - 1.5 years now. I believe that through Nick I have obtained enough information that I feel that I can start the process with confidence. I will start the dew process soon. Not sure when I will start, but I still need to gather a few materials together. Anyway, I thought I would say hi and let everyone know where I was at.

WELCOME!!! We're all really excited about the process too and many of us are just about to start it or have recently stared it (besides Nick and his private group who have completed it).

and magnum.opus1 is right... we all feel we've been summoned here some way or another. From what I've seen we're all on the same spiritual path and lots of us have very similar backgrounds and experiences.

xoxo,

Welcome EmeraldZeus,
And everything that Magnum said too... There's no point trying to put it better.
Of all experiences in life, this has been one of the most intriguing, inspiring and unifying with a dash of eerie to add to the mix along the way. I look forward to your presence.

Magnumopus.opus1, do you mind me asking if that is your Talisman? (Avatar) or just a pic?
Everytime I see it I feel warm, comfortable and similar to assured or at ease...
Just thought I'd share.

Kind Wishes
Karitsis

I was looking for several different items for a Tatoo for my arm and this just happened to be one
of several Sun/Moon items that I found. I really like it too. It has this amazing strength to it.
It kinda represents my personality and caracter.

I did modify it a little on Photoshop.

I thought it polite to introduce myself to my fellow experimenters. I thought about mentioning where I live, where I come from, my name, my experiences and where I have been; yet these matters do not do justice to who anyone really is, which is of the present only.

As most of you I have had a blessed range of experiences which logically brought me - and us all - to where I am. In my earlier years some of those experiences, some intense and troublesome, did not reveal a clear purpose. Only afterwards I see a path, but logically it can only be afterwards that a line can be drawn by the steps left behind. Yet, I feel blessed, as I noticed others around me not bearing the needed intelligence and patience - and the consequent option for the quality of gaining precious insights - I began to value mine even more. So we all gain to a certain extent the ability to notice more and more of where we are and where we are going.

All that counts for me to say is that I am being moved to attempt the Dew process myself, to get to fully understand it as the process evolves through time, and to help others in health and in gaining financial freedom, as I will help myself. Even though many of us in this world suffer due to our own ignorance and lack of awareness, ergo karmically walk around in their own prison, it is also karma if these people will cross out paths in life.

In the light of our freedom, I see this Dew process as a tool we all can use. Not as The answer, but as one of many tools, of which 99% resides within ourself.

I guess this little text has given some idea about me, but my posts and participation is should speak instead of some story based on the past.

I want to say that I am thankful to ___, his private emails with me, the fact that he decided to open the forum this way, and most naturally for his sharing.

And last, I am happy this forum is actually alive with such a rich diversity of individuals from all over this world.

This feels good.

Hello WhiteDove, and welcome to the forum. I have to agree with you that the dew process is a tool, but it's not mearly a tool, it's a key, a key that's holds the answer a lot of us are looking for. I also believe that we shouldn't give away wealth freely to anyone and everyone. I believe that we should help people, but I'm the kind of person who wouldn't help someone unless they were willing to help themselves first. They need to show passion and desire to grow and live better. After all, nothing is really given freely is it? Unless it's towards children. Most children can't fend for themselves, so I would give freely to them, but everyone else, will have to show they are willing to put forth the effort.

I also agree that the past shouldn't be dwelt on, I believe that the present and planning for future retirements, etc. I understand that some people have a hard time letting go of the past, but we have to in order to succeed in life. I believe that too much time is wasted by spending time on the past. But, that's just my opinion.

Yes, yet, who are we to judge who deserves and who does not. Is it not that this entered upon our doorstep as part of our journey? Not to say that all will freely receive, or just those who are to our liking, for who are we but fellow travelers in this life?

We're not any more special than anyone else, and at the same time everyone is unique. Lets not jump the gun, as they say, and act as if this is almost in our hands, for it is not without our precious effort. In this experiment we invest our time, use our intelligence, our patience, and some money. All because we feel it will be worth it.

I point the finger to myself and ask: Am I deserving? Putting forth effort, using my intelligence, investing into this. It is not simply effort which is the decisive factor, nor is it whether I've been a good person. So what then?

At a certain point in life one's attitudes and mindsets, collective subjective rubbish devoid of intelligence and divine truth, make way for intelligence, insight, wisdom and clarity. Then it is easier to find who is ready and who is not, and this discovering through clear vision transcends the mind that merely judges based on - and due to - the limitations of a becoming being.

There are many elements to this elixir of life, and I am sure we can all present them in fascinating different ways. It is a key, it is a doorway, too, a gate, a medicine, a tool, a future. . a promise yet to become real.

We are what we are, but in THIS we are all fellow discoverers.
