Trouble accessing Alchemy-illuminated

Hello Nicholas,

My apologies for posting this as a new discussion, but I figured it would be the easiest way to signal you. I'm having trouble accessing your new site. The default comes up fine, but when I click to enter, the new window opens blank. I know it opens your site because I can see the blue and white borders, but the middle film file shows nothing but white and there is no music playing. I think it has been like this for almost three days. I don't if you're in the process of uploading the new book or what not, but I just thought I'd let you know. You're welcome to delete this since i'm not starting a new discussion here. Thanks.

The site doesn't load in some web browsers. I can't load it in Google Chrome browser, but it load find in FireFox and Internet Explorer.

I'm using Windows Internet Explorer and I can't load it either.

Ok, so I think I have found a way to the site. I still can't get it to load in the place I used to go, but there is a roundabout way to get there. If you go to google and search "alchemy illuminated+dew", then the first entry will be the Universal Medicine book and the next will be an indented entry as a Flash file. This is the address:

When you open this, you can get to the site and find all the information. The only problem is that its the flash file version, so its really small and difficult to read, but all the info and the newest updates are there. That said, I tryed to get to the site through Mozilla Firefox, and it says that my computer is missing the software to download whatever is on the site. I attempted to download the software through Mozilla's connection, but alas I am not adept at such things and I have yet to figure out how to effectiviely implement this. Also, when you attempt to access any links on the above mentioned Flash version of the site, you must hold down your Ctrl button while clicking on the link. Otherwise it won't open. Anyway, this is the best I've been able to do for now. Hope this helps.

Ps. I'm pretty sure that this isn't a problem with my comp, because I've tried it on other machines and I still can't seem to upload it. It may be a RAm issue, or I just don't have the proper software still. Oh well, sorry for all the trouble guys.

just tried it, loaded flash a bit slow but it got there. Using Firefox 3.0.5

Yup, Firefox opens the main site just fine, but internet explorer can't. That's freaky wierd. I have now unofficially catagorized alchemy-illuminated.com in my book as "wuji". That means its freaky wierd. mmhhmm. Kudos, Nick

From what I've seen, Firefox can get the page good enough, even if with some unimportant defects. But Opera gets it very well.

OK, I think I fixed the website now. I just re-uploaded the index file from another spot on my computer I have the original saved, and now it seems to work fine with every web browser on everyone's computer.

But even looking at the code in the index.html file, I see absolutely no difference in it. So I really still have no idea what in the world happened to it.

I think there are 2 versions, one is saved in my "sources" file where I keep the FLA website application file for editing in Adobe Flash, and also a file called "mainv8.html" which switched to index.html and maybe that is what caused the confusion. The new file I uploaded was in the site_flash folder, so maybe that's a little different.

I purchased the website template from templatefactory.com and it seems like the guy didn't clean up his mess after he was done designing it, so there are all kinds of folders and files that are older versions he didn't delete. So I blame him/her for all this nonsense! lol
