There are some videos on youtube of an indian old man who claims to live off the sun and air only, no food or water at all, they locked him in a room and studied him a couple times.

I like 'sunning' and gazing at the sun sometimes, it sharpens my vision, Dr. Bates talked about sunning amongst other things to improve your vision.

Purple candle?  you mean UV / night light? hehe, might need one this yr the way the weather has been, 90% of the time it is cloudy and rainy where i live this spring.

Sun gazing is weird. It does give psychic benefit but not as much as one might like.  Btw moon gazing is much more gentile on the eyes and it's almost as effective and gives you more staring time.  I don't know if anyone else thought of moon gazing before I did but I far prefer it to sun gazing.

Candle staring is from India, yes. There are people who dont eat or drink at all - they live on sun and prana (mercury). Fasting does wonders for us - the body reprograms the genes - starts pumping antioxidant and rejuvenating proteins after 12-24 hours. Going back to vegetarianism and organic especially after reading that a huge percentage of europeans had glyphos (Monsatan pesticide) in their \"philosophical dew\". Imagine US?

Oh, please, Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Pay attention.
Sun gazing could be an exageration if you don't LOVE LIGHT COMPLETELY.
It's not only a physical matter of "looking into something", my Teachers that did gazing (not inside the sun but into reflexed ligt!) considered the Sun as a God.
If you don't have a straight devotion, ethic, meditative training and THEURGY it doesn't work and can damage you.
And... MORE IMPORTANT...
You can freak out because you see and feel and hear a LOT OF THINGS... That really can affect you.
In fact the trick is to go trough the silky thread of the vision, instead to stare to your "preferred EGO visionar channel"...
Good luck! And Blessings.

Sunlight activates your pineal gland and induces synthesi of neurotryptamines, pinolines and alters gene expression. 5-10 minutes at dusk and dawn cant hurt.

There was however a guy who stared to blindness while on LSD.

Yes, yes, yes.
I like your enthusiasm but... why should be alway a matter of quantity (take a look about what are you saying... These were minuts or seconds...?) AND NOT OF QUALITY?
I was trying to underline THIS aspect.
Believe me or not, I knew the technique far before it was on the web, and I tried to let you know some aspects of it: why you didn't catch it?
Because everything can become a matter of quantity.
Good luck and blessings.

Try moon gazing with this one! I'd love to try this huge lunar collector

I wonder if the people standing in the focal point get drenched in dew as well.

Has anyone noticed their dreams becoming very vivid and memorable to a degree they wake up in the morning feeling tired as hell as if they had not had any sleep? might this be linked to sun gazing?

That is what I'am saying.
1) Too much gazing (everyone has his/her own quantity)
2) Incomplete preparation.  You need:
- Uddhyana banda
- Kumbaka
- Kechari
That's to say, at the end, MEDITATION.

A lot of teachers say things just to grab your attention, then (may be) you'll ask for more informations or... Will have troubles like any other desperado but, at least, with some little experience more... Not so bad, at the end... scratch
So, please pay attention, these are not toys.
Good luck

Look at his eyes, huge pupils and blue eyes .. reminds me of my cat when she starts to act weird except she has green eyes

and here's some on the technique

Quote :
Biophoton from the sun going through our eyes by SUNGAZING after SUNRISE but NOT EXCEEDIMG 7 a.m. and INDIRECT SUNLIGHT during daytime. After touching our retina, Biophoton is sent by way the retino-pineal pathway ACTIVATES DNA IN THE PINEALGLAND producing hormones that beneficial for the whole body and vitamin D is prodused too.
NOT EXPOSING OUR SKIN TO SUNLIGHT ( UV is CARCINOGENIC WEATHER IT IS A OR B )
no sunglasses,no contactlenses
Biophoton MUST FREE TO ENTER OUR EYES UP TO OUR RETINA.

Any method that supercharges your body with psychic energy will do that. A simple solution of sea salt and morning dew will do that as it is (before the long incubation process). It only takes a few drops to give you that effect. (It's called lucid dreaming)

Btw after a while you'll get used to it and although you won't get as restful of sleep when lucid dreaming it won't be draining.

On an unrelated note: I wonder what effect that lunar energy collector would have on the potency of morning dew sea salt.

Thank you
hmm, sea salt and dew.. i should incorporate that into my morning routine. time to get some fresh dew.

it was interesting to hear/read people who sungaze get intense dreams and go into rem sleep very quickly, it matched my experience except i did not sungaze in the AM/PM rather i did sunning (washing my eyes with sun light with closed lids) at whatever time was convenient. I will make an effort to do open eye sunning at the appropriate time of day. Anything to improve my health will benefit my lab work until i find the red stone.

Careful how much salt/dew you ingest because if you take too much your dreams can become nearly psychadellic in nature.

When that happens it feels as though you never got any sleep at all.

Unfortunately the potency can only be figured out by trial and error.

Any sea salt better than the other?

I already have psychedelic like dreams, sometimes they zap my energy and i wake up feeling very tired. I should learn lucid dreaming so i can control the dreams maybe they wont be exhausting, also i need to meditate.
