I did things a bit differently this time. I didn't use oil of tartar... I used only strong Alcohol. As I understand it the oil of tartar was used in the past to remove water moisture from fresh herbs. I used dried melissa. Last time I did not boil to a honey thickness. This time I had plenty of material to do so. Last time I discarded the plant matter. This time I burned it to ash then washed and filtered to get the salt of salt of which I then mixed in with the (Ens wine mix). There was an energetic reaction when I did so. I believe this mixture will be more potent than the last batch. I think it is only closer to but not quite the real Ens. Only time and experimentation will tell. We have to
earn our wings. I will have more dry melissa to work with shortly. Comments or suggestions are welcome.
ps. I started the reduction with 1.75 Gal of extract and as you can see it reduced to approximately 1 - 1.5 oz.
