Progress in catching Dew Empty
PostSubject: Progress in catching Dew   Progress in catching Dew Icon_minitimeSat Jan 30, 2010 7:45 am

Nick: I did it again! Very Happy Very Happy Since my last post, I had bought two five gallon plastic buckets at Home Depot (less than $5.00 each with lids.) I put them out last night and caught some more Dew, although not as much as the first time. I take the ice out of the bags it comes in and put it in large freezer bags. They are sturdier and you can tell if you have any leaks!

Anyway, I had ordered a distillation unit from H2O Labs and it had come in. I ran the first catching of dew through it and this morning at 5:14 I had my first distilled dew! About six ounces to start with. What a wonderful experience.

Nick I want to thank you and acknowledge the fact that without your encouragement and hard work, this would not be happening.

Many thanks to each of you members also. I read your posts and note your progress with much happiness! May your paths be ever filled with Joy, Health, Prosperity and success with The Process beyonhg your wildest imagination! Thanks again Nick!

I moved your post to the Practical Alchemy forum because it didn't belong in the member's introduction.

Hey guys,

Well as you may know my wife and I live in a fairly rural area now. Although I am working on a couple GW projects, last night conditions were excellent for collecting Morning Dew! Not using ice or bags I was able to collect about 700ml using a cleaned out plastic cement mixer trough. Tonight... given how my legs and shoes got completely soaked through...I'm going to use a large beach towel to drag through the wild grasses ( rinsed the detergent out via multiple plain water washings. I should be able to collect several liters! I'll store it in the fridge and work on it in the not too distant future. cheers

Rain out tonight,

Shouldn't be much of a problem though. Dew is very abundant in this area.
As long as it doesn't rain, I should be able to have a good Dew harvest this year. Last nights dew had pine, wild grass and wild flower. I hope the rest of you are able to collect lots of dew!

God bless you all!

Hey guys,

I was able to collect a total of about 3100ml of dew with about 800ml of it being from pine trees. I reflect on the dew I collected in 2009 and this dew is very different in it's look as well as it's smell. It has a very mild smell of pine as well as the grasses and flowers we walked through. I will add that one of my nephews assisted. Smile

I'm at the limit of my equipments capacity for the time being. I will have to store what I've collected in the fridge. The dew has been double filtered, the first was through a fine mesh screen in the funnel and the second was through a common coffee filter.

Hey all,

I decided to put 100ml of dew in a small beaker. I reduced it to about 50ml. I then filtered it through a cotton ball as there was some precipitant at the bottom. I added about 80ml of distilled water to the empty beaker and poured that through the cotton ball also. I repeated this a couple times so far. Nothing is sealed. It smells sweet and wonderful! Very Happy

Hey,

Did anybody else collect any morning dew this year? I boiled 200ml of morning dew down to 150ml. See photos below. I'm going to let it sit for about a month then boil it down another 25%. Next month I'm going to try to collect a couple gallons of dew and this time I'll keep the pine dew separate from the wild flower/grass dew. I really hope the rest of you haven't lost hope. I see a complete withdrawal of activity. People viewing but not posting anything! Come on guys! Hang in there! With persistence you all can achieve the goal!

When I get to the point that I distill this batch, I will retain the dew and recombine several times with the salts that form.

I might add this is much much more pleasant to work with than GW!

Hi Kevin and fellow seekers,

It has been stated that between the Bull and Ram (March to May) are idea for
Dew collection, as well electricly it is a strong time of the year, and reward can be found from this time.

I wonder, is it the amount of Dew present in the spring which rewards us best or the quality of our mercury? As now in Canada, the summer has come to a close and often days are still quite warm and after those evenings in the morning the grass is very wet.

Do we wish to collect this? or is it only worth the practice of our methods?

Dew Is very pleasant to work with in comparison to golden water Razz

Welcome back Nick and Welcome Ethericus.

So Kevin, was wondering, did you actually boil the dew down or did you evaporate it down? The spirit escapes if you boil it. You can practice with golden water; and notice this phenomena, when you take evaporated golden water that is so concentrated it looks brown and distill it, all the distillate is of a higher concentration of spirit.

Thanatos,

I did boil it down. I'm pretty sure you boil off the 1st 1/4 then reduce and dry the remaining salts, but I'm at a standstill in my work...my 2000ml heating mantle needs a new coil and liner. I'm not sure where to get one, the company I bought mine from doesn't sell any of the replacement parts. I'm thinking about just buying a new 1000ml heating mantle. It will use less electricity and the flasks will cost less also. I've been pretty broke the last year or so. Hopefully by the middle of next year money will be more abundant.
