Hey guys

I have been having a tough time trying to clean my used flasks. The dried material left after each re-distillation of the spirit (GW) is less and less and I'm using a new flask each time (running out of them). Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful and greatly appreciated!

You could try putting sand in them and swish that around with soapy water.

Kevin,
I think Bluefloor is right on, about the use of
sand. I have used sand from my boys' sandbox
and it works really well.

I tried a little XV olive oil with fine steel wool and that seemed to work fairly well, but i will give the sand/soap a try also....now where did I put that sand? scratch

I as well was looking for a way to clean out my equipment.

Sand is probably the best option come to think of it, but I found a forum which mentioned rice w/ a little hot water. Works pretty well, but I tend to add some salt and baking soda to the concoction as well to give it a lil extra umph.

Cheers
