Just saw this, yeah, I get it too. Rectangular prism looking things. They look the same as the purified salt I get at the end. It seems they drop out at the beginning too.

Silica is just white crystalline powder that probably assists in putrefaction. However it is not present later on in the preparation after filtering or decantation.
