Here I invite everyone that as we all have spent many many years searching in this Art, in books, in journals, in novels, in alchemy courses, in different sites, and on forums, so what we have learnt from all of them, I just want to put everything which relates to our Art or it would be anything which will be after all a good information for others in understanding Nature and Alchemy.

I want to start with some very good sentences which I was collected in my search from different places…

"The artist after all is a solitary being"

“Man is superior to the stars if he lives in the power of superior wisdom. Such a person being the master over heaven and earth by means of his will, is a magus, and magic is not sorcery but supreme wisdom.” Paracelsus

That which is not known is in the world and is perceived by sight, hearing, smell, taste, or touch. Sight shows the difference between black and white; hearing, between good and evil; taste, between sweet and bitter; touch, between subtle and gross; smell, between fragrant and fetid.

Then will the New World begin, and the white and black shall disappear. The griffin will fly over him but will not harm him. Then shall the pearl, so long lost, be found by one of humble estate, and will be set, as a jewel, in gold. All vain glory will be ended, and the plumes of the bird of the East shall be burned by the sun of the south. All thy doing shall be changed, and the seven heads shall become one head. Out of this one, a head shall be born that shall be armed with a horn. This horn shall bruise all that which has so long brought sorrow to Iffinos. And the great city shall be the head of the less and shall become free from servitude. Europe shall be the head, Asia the crown, but Africa shall be the jewel." "What is small and humble, God has revealed, but the more important is still in the dark and shall likely remain so until the arrival of Elias Artista... One shall come after me whose splendor is not yet in this life, and who shall reveal much." According to Glauber, "This Elias Artista shall restore the true spagyric medicine of the old Egyptian Philosophy which was lost over a thousand years. He shall bring it with him and show it to the world." To give up all thought of carving out a career for himself at Ch'ang-an and go with him “in a chariot bron aloft swifter than wind or lightning by the phoenix and dragon'' to the Jade Emperor's Fairy Palace in the Ninth Heaven.

Many philosophers, it is true, who has no tincture of philosophy goes through life imprisoned in the prejudices derived from common sense,...

I like to believe that the actions of others are triggers to show us our lesser refined self and areas we can grow in.

Only a clean body and mind can function normally. Impurities to both are a hinderance to progress for body and mind. Progress is essential for the advancement of all species, especially man.

"There is nothing permanent except change."
"That which guides the Wise misleads the foolish."

You should follow the guidance of your own judgment. The man who follows no other guide is not in a state of subservience to any.

Jesus said, "Unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven"

As we get older we are moulded into a static personality with doubts, fears, beliefs and traits etc...

UNIVERSE.—The Cosmos. The All; beyond which nothing can exist, because there is no “beyond.” The whole of the visible universe is a manifestation of the internal invisible divine power called the Spirit of God. It is the substance of God, shaped by his thought into images and thrown into objectivity by an exercise of his Will. Whatever God thinks, that he expresses in the Word. and what he speaks becomes an Act. All this takes place according to Law, because God is himself the Law, and does not act against himself.

It is an art which exists as truly as the sun shines during the day and the moon at night, but it exists only for those who are able to see it.

They seriously assert that if men knew the divine powers, which are dormant in their constitution, and were to pay attention to their development, instead of wasting all their life and energies upon the comparatively insignificant and trifling affairs of their short and transient external existence upon this earth, they might in time become like those planetary spirits.

We stand on the shoulders of great men who came before us, and if it wasn't for their sacrifices and their hard work we wouldn't have gotten very far.

One way to get to know the creator is through observing creation.

If thou Our Copper well do know
All the other things thou mayest let go.

The lips of wisdom are closed except to the ears of understanding.

In the work with minerals and metals, we are dealing with materials in the crystalline state. They are the most dense forms of the One. The life force locked inside the crystal matrix is very pure and very powerful. We have only to look at our current technology to see the awesome power of crystalline materials, from the silicon chip to nuclear power.

Advances in quantum physics have revealed the hidden role consciousness plays in nature, and many other fundamental alchemical principles are being proven in practical demonstrations.

The prophet should say: I have given you sense and reason whereby you ought to acknowledge me for your God and reverence me but you have turned them aside and therewith have made Idols.

If thou desire to see the secrets of Nature now open thine eyes.

Doubt is the first stage of knowledge.

"Accident is a mighty helper; let your hook always be baited; in the least likely river you may catch your fish."

Great minds were appearing in every country; amidst a thousand blunders.

Hence you must not be content with reading only one book, but you should study a variety of authors; because, according to the learned Arnold, one book opens up the understanding of another. The same thought is expressed by the learned Anaxagoras, who testifies that if a man will not take the trouble of reading many books, he can never attain to a practical knowledge of our Art.

There is also another way of preserving long life, which Mahomet prescribed to his disciple according to magic, and endowed him with many years ; nor did he do this from God, but from the influence which is beyond Nature. Because Mahomet, as a magus, exercised this method for the unskilled population, not for himself, he has won an immortal name. Archeus preserved his life for several years beyond a century, a thing which was laid to his discredit, and was referred to idolatry. He was equally skilled in cabalistic art with those three Sabean magi who came, not by natural magic, but by the force of horses, to the Bethlehemites, and was acquainted not only with that which was of long life, but that which is of the intellect beyond Nature. All these things proceed from supernatural influence, which rules and governs the body. These magi were afterwards followed by those who falsely claimed for themselves this almost divine name, among whom was Hippocrates, who preferred rather than that his daughter should remain in her actual form, to transform her outward natural influence into a body alien from all Nature—an evident proof of the power of incantation.

PERFECTION CONSISTS:-
In the physical order : In the realization of the dream of beauty.
In the moral order : In the realization of the dream of love.
In the intellectual order : In the realization of the dream of poetry.
In the spiritual order : In the realization of the dream of the mystics.
But these four orders are fundamentally one order, and the four dreams constitute one reality.

Strong minds have a will. Weak minds only have desires.

"Art perfects what nature began." Man, and all the gross and subtle constituents of nature, are capable of being brought to a state of infinite perfection. But nature unaided fails to achieve this perfection. Evolution may ultimately succeed, though the time factor seems so preposterously slow when one watches through recorded history, the cumbersome, the appallingly slow, progress of mankind. So the alchemists sought to intervene by their art--to speed up the process of growth and evolution, and so to aid God's work.

Please, bear in mind, that you will have to go the way of all aspirants and that there is no magic formula or Hokus Pokus that will make all this possible. No wishful thinking will get you there. Only your sincerity, your efforts, your prayers and meditations will make it easier to travel the Royal Road. But travel you must. It is a rather great distance that stretches out before ones eyes. On the Horizon, however, is the goal; and on the way you will find the Road Markers that will guide and direct you to your destination.

The alchemist spun his universe from his own ideas of order, symmetry, and simplicity, as the spider spins her web from her own substance.

Though he seem to have lost what he was, yet from hence he shall arise what he never was before.

Feed the hungry; give drink to the thirsty; clothe the naked; comfort the afflicted; visit the sick and the prisoners: and you shall have what you desire.

Some say these are the vexations and troubles which God puts on people to bring them back to repentance. Others say these are just the troubles of life which man has to overcome in order to perfect himself.

Here the vulgar eye will see nothing but Obscurity and will despair considerably.

I think he has been considered in a light that bestows upon him a critical assumption at times, we now attribute these things the law which will have to do that not just a mere speculation or somebody's opinion.

Maybe not atom bombs and things but devastations have taken place whether they've been earthquakes, typhoons, holocausts, epidemics, but they've gone over this earth for as long as we've had records.

There is a special privilege, then, for such to give special instructions. Due to the prevailing circumstances he was a pioneer in his work and we honored this man. He saw the whole evolutionary process of nature and he expounded and wrote about it.

If the lust belongs to the mind, it seems to produce problems.
But if the lust belongs to the body, I'd say that is healthy sexual functioning.

Although to be the devils advocate... according to history the alchemist found interest in \"philosophical dew\" only because the color of it were thought to come from gold.

It is better for you to take to this study late than never.

So there are many who ignore and contradict the writings of the adepts but on the same thing Democritus (8th B.C.) was said, that…
“It will be apparent that it is difficult to discern which properties each thing possess in reality”.

If a philosopher you wish to be,
Let only patience dwell in thee.

There is some information in the writings of Frater Albertus, which can give us some good points after reading.

Frater Albertus wrote:

Question: If the philosophical mercury is the universal solvent, capaible of dissolving all substances into their first matter, how is it possible for anything to contain this mercury without being dissolved also?

Answer: Substances referred to here are those which are products of nature. Since these contain the three essentials, sulphur, salt, and mercury, the philosophical mercury will react on its own as found therein causing a dissolution because of its excess. Artifically produced objects (containers) too will react in due course of time if the philosophical mercury is extremely highly rectified and in great preponderance. It may even volatilize itself through the porous subsances of containers before it breaks down their atomic structures if such containers have excessive cohesion due to their artificial composition.

Question: A heretical question perhaps, but here it is-why should the highest, the philosophical mercury, proceed from the lowest in so-called evolution, the metallic kingdom?

Answer: The philosophical mercury is found in the Nature’s realm because in the animal and plant kingdoms it does not have the necessary time to coagulate and even ripen into its watery (fluidic) consistency. In the end all three of the mercuries spoken of in alchemy are of the same origin. There is but one Universal Spirit but its ramifications are many by degree. The Philosophical Mercury is the one that lovers of wisdom (philosophers) discover hidden in the Nature’s realm and rejoice in the fact that it will do in the hands of men what nature would require an enormeusly long time (naturally) to accomplish and what the philosopher ("lover of wisdom"-which he must have first before he can love it) do by art in a comparatively short time compared to nature's way.

Question: Has any work been done on identifying the chemical structure of the Philosophical Mercury and its physical properties (boiling point, melting point, density molecular weight, etc?) Has anything been written or done on this?

Answer: Yes, it has become a complicated fact because of its simplicity. Due to its temperature range before condensation, it is rated a gas and has equivalents to such gas or gas listed and known to chemistry.

Question: Frater Albertus, you have written quite openly about the Philosophical Mercury in PARACHEMY. On the other hand, you stated that this could not be done. I refer to the "Alchemist's Handbook," for instance. How can you explain this?

Answer: What has been said or written about the Philosophical Mercury is sufficient to introduce those ready for it, that is, to produce the Philosophical Mercury so that the next step of the work before them in the mineral kingdom can be commenced. Up to this point, there is only the first of three applications discussed. I refer to the separation. Those who followed this by the letter soon had found out that this was only a beginning, because when this crude mercury was poured over metallic gold, for instance, it did not dissolve it but only extracted a tincture. The reason for this is that the following, or second step, that of purification had either not been attempted or completed. Only after the purification of the Philosophical Mercury has been accomplished will the gold dissolve. Then the third step of cohobation has taken place. So, you see, there is indeed more to it.

Question: Can acetic acid be used to open up all the metals? I guess what I mean is by doing a dry distillation on any metal acetate can you get the Philosophical Mercury (as long as the metal is living?)

Answer: Yes.

Question: You have been asked many times about the Philosophical Mercury, I am sure of that. I would like to know, can it be made out of anything or is there something special required to produce the Philosophical Mercury from - or, by any chance, is it a substance known already, perhaps only under another name, or names?

Answer: The Philosophical Mercury can be obtained from any metal. In some metals the mercury is unripe, as some alchemists called it, whereas in gold it is most ripe.

Question: You've said something about the philosophical mercury as one of the three essentials. Can you elaborate on this?

Answer: Let us talk about the universal mercury or universal Spirit, which is the same. What is known as philosophical mercury is but an emanation of the universal mercury. In physics you would call it an isotope for want of better terminology.

Question: Is there a difference between the Alkahest and the Philosophical Mercury. We are in doubt. Because one of us says that they are not the same while the rest think the substances are alike.

Answer: Generally speaking it is considered to be the same. However, to those who are initiated into the alchemical terminology it is not the same. The reason why it has been and generally is considered the same rests on the assumption that both the Alkahest and Philosophical Mercury are derived from the mineral world. The difference is that the Alkahest is obtained from a mineral and the Philosophical Mercury from a metal. Both belong to the same realm but differ one from the other, i.e., mineral and metal. The Alkahest will extract from minerals and metals their sulphur or essence and leave the essence-depleted body behind, while the Philosopher's Mercury dissolves both essence and body. The Alkahest (not alcohol) is derived from the vegetabilia and dissolves the essence found within minerals and metals as stated above. This would be the alchemical sulphur. The Alkahest is not the solvent, as the ancients called the Philosophical Mercury.

The quote by Frater Albertus given earlier and the reference to the odor of the distillate in the second quote, "... there will distill forth a Spirit of such a fragrant smell that the fragrancy of all flowers, and compounded perfumes are not to be compared to it.".

From the modern alchemist Archibald Cockren: "A friend has described this odour as resembling the dewy earth on a June morning with the hint of growing flowers in the air, the breath of the wind over heather and hill, and the sweet smell of the rain on the parched earth."

From "The Testament of Cremer" we find a similar passage: "When this happy event takes place, the whole house will be filled with a most wonderfully sweet fragrance; then will be the day of the Nativity of the most blessed Preparation.."

We also find in "Le Livre Des Figures Hieroglifiques de Nioclas Flamel" the following: "Finalement je trouvay ce que je desirolis, ce que je reconnus aussi tost par la senteur forte." "Finally I have found what I desired, which I immediately recognized by the strong scent." (la senteur can also be translated as odor or perfume).

And finally in an interview with Frater Albertus we find a reference to the smell of the Philosophical Mercury. The quote is as follows: "Q. What is it? A. The Philosophical Mercury. Q. May I smell it? A. Yes. Q. It reminds me of something but I can't recall what right now."

It isn't enough to pull a series of quotes together and leave it at that. The final proof of this statement is to be found in the laboratory, where practical experimentation will either prove or disprove the above hypothesis. Those who are prepared and ready will take advantage of this article and either prove or disprove for themselves the veracity of it, and by so doing take us further by sharing with us the results of their experiments.

Frater Albertus wrote:

The two words which make up the title of this treatise have caused much controversy for thousands of years. There are many scholars who vehemently deny even the possibility of the existence of such a substance and they ridicule and deride any person who would entertain such ideas.

Other people "believe" that the mercury of the philosophers exists but have no certain knowledge one way or the other, rather they rely on the opinions of others expressed verbally or in the many books which deal with this elusive substance. Again, others have actively sought the "mercury" but for some reason have not found it and have in due course lost their belief in its existence. To those who successfully persevere comes a happiness which they are hardly able to express, and the door opens to far wider vistas.

The sages agree that in all of the kingdoms only in Nature's kingdom the true Mercury is found. In order to discuss the preparation of the mercury a discussion of the manner of formation of metals and minerals is a necessary precursor. Here is a brief extract of Basil Valentine:

"Let me tell you, then, that all metals and all minerals grow in the same way from the same root, and that thus all metals have a common origin. This first principle is a mere vapour extracted from the elementary earth through the heavenly planets, and, as it were, divided by the sidereal distillation of the Macrocosmos. This sidereal hot infusion, descending from on high into those things which are below, with the aero-sulphureous property, so acts and works as to engraft on them in a spiritual and invisible manner a certain strength and virtue. This vapour afterwards resolves itself in the earth into a kind of water, and out of this mineral water all metals are generated and perfected. The mineral vapour becomes this or that metal according as one or the other of the three first principles predominates, i.e., according as they have much or little mercury, sulphur, or salt, or an unequal mixture of their weights. Hence, some metals are fixed, and some are not fixed; some are permanent and unchangeable; some are volatile and variable, as you may see in gold, silver, copper, iron, tin, and lead.

"Besides these metals, other minerals are generated from these three principles; according to the proportion of the ingredients, we have vitriol, marcasite, electrum, and many other minerals.

"In its very first astrum, or star, and its first substance, gold has more perfect sulphur, and more perfect mercury than the other metals and minerals. Hence its operative virtue is much stronger and more potent, as it is also more efficacious than the stars of the other metals."

It is clear to see that in order to make the perfect philosophical mercury, gold then is the best substance to begin with. Unfortunately, there are two major drawbacks when using gold. The first is the expense and the second is the difficulty in actually separating the three principles of gold. Silver, the next most perfect metal has similar difficulties even if not quite to the same degree. The other metals (Cu, Fe, Pb, Hg, Sn), are less expensive and easier to work with. However, the mercury contained therein is much less pure and perfect than that of gold. It would seem then that the search for the philosophical mercury is not an easy one.

Fortunately, there is a solution. If the mercury from one of the less perfect metals is obtained and this then is purified and perfected, then a philosophical mercury would be obtained. This is the method by which the author has obtained the mercury from different minerals.

Prepare the salt of the mineral you wish to work with according to art. Then effect a separation of the three principles by means of Vulcan.

The apparatus shown in the illustration was found to be effective in this separation.

A is the reaction vessel containing the prepared salt.
B is the heating mantle contoured to fit A and to provide even heat.
C is a receiver where first the phlegm and then the Sulphur is collected after being cooled by condensor D.
E is a still head.
F is a coil of glass tubing running into a receiver.
G is a beaker supporting the coil and receiver, and containing acetone in which is dissolved dry ice (frozen CO2) the mixture of which will create a temperature of - 80o Celsius.

The volatile mercury will be driven through the condenser but it is so volatile that it will not be condensed (a white fume or smoke will be seen to pass through the still head), but rather will be condensed by the extreme cold of the acetone dry ice mixture. The oil (or sulphur) will be collected in C, since it will be condensed (for the most part) by condenser D. The salt will remain in A except for those salts which are sublimed during the separation. Make certain that these are collected and retained since they have been elevated and hence considerably purified.

The mercury then is distilled very slowly seven to ten times. If all the operations have been completed successfully, the Mercury of the Philosophers will be obtained. This mercury, when combined with the purified sulphur and salt, will yield (in due time) the true king of medicine.

The above purified mercury will also dissolve the body of gold to prepare the wondrous aurum potable.

It is interesting to note that when a thermometer is placed in the still head, the temperature will not go above 35o Celcius during the whole operation. This indicates that the substance passing over is indeed very volatile. When a further distillation is effected, the temperature in the still head (i.e. the boiling point of the liquid) will probably be below 30oCelcius. Eventually it will distill at room temperature, 20o-25o Celcius, 68o-77o Fahrenheit. Since the mercury will boil at this temperature, it is ESSENTIAL that the vessel containing the mercury is carefully and tightly sealed or it will no longer be in your possession. Also, when the 7-10 distillations are being performed, great care must be taken to prevent losses of the mercury. It can literally disappear without the operator being aware of its passing until it is too late. If an ice bath (i.e. place the receiver in a dish half filled with ice and a little water) is used to cool the receiver when doing these distillations, there is less chance of large losses. Once this elusive substance has been obtained, it would be very disappointing to have it disappear into "thin air." So take a little care.

When preparing the cooling solution considerable diligence must be employed. Place the receiver into the beaker and then half fill the beaker with acetone. Place a small piece of dry ice (about the size of a cork) into the acetone and considerable bubbling will ensue. If too much dry ice is added, the acetone will most likely bubble up and out of the beaker. Rather, hold the small piece of dry ice with a pair of tongs (your fingers would suffer severe frostbite) just below the surface of the acetone until it dissolves. Repeat this process until the temperature reaches - 70o to- 80o Celcius as measured by a thermometer.

In all likelihood it will not be possible to run this system under vacuum because pressure will build up. This will mean some loss of spirit. However, because the separation can be effected on pounds of salt so that several ounces of spirit and sulphur may be obtained in the space of about 9-12 hours, this will not be a major problem.

There are many other facets of this whole process which could be examined in detail, but since you can't make a horse drink even after leading him to water, what has been said will be sufficient. A little care, patience, and practice is all that is needed to achieve your goal. Remember, all things come to he or she who is patient, but if you sit on your posterior it will take a long time!

There was an English Alchemist who discovered something very different in his work, where he made a "White Frost" which he obtained during his alchemical work, which no Alchemist was able to discover or able to replicate his work as is written, which I say is still a mystery…

George Ripley wrote:

The First Solution of the Gross Body.

First take 30 pound weight of Sericon, which will make 21 pound weight of Gum, or near thereabouts, if it be well dissolved, and the Vinegar very good, and dissolve each pound thereof in a Gallon of twice distilled Vinegar when cold again, and as it standeth in Dissolution in a fit Glass Vessel, stirr it about with a clean Stick very often every day, the oftner the better, and when it is well moulten to the bottom, then filter over the said Liquors three several times, which keep close covered, and cast away the Feces, for that is superfluous filth which must be removed, and entreth not into the Work but is called Terra damnata.

The Making of our Gum or Green Lyon.

Then put all these cold Liquors thus filtered into a fit Glass Vessel, and set it into Balneo Mariae to evaporate in a temperate heat, which done our Sericon will be coagulated into a green Gum called our green Lyon, which Gum dry well, yet beware thou burn not his Flowers not destroy his greeness.

The Extraction of our Menstue, or Blood of our Green Lyon.

Then take out the said Gum, and put it into a strong Retort of Glass very well Luted, and place it in your Furnace, and under that at the first, make sober Fire, and anon you shall see a faint Water issue forth, let it waste away; but when you see a white Smoak or fume issue forth, then put too a Receiver of Glass, which must have a very large Belly, and the mouth no wider then it may well receive into that the Neck of the Retort, which close well together that no fume issue forth of the Receiver. Then encrease your Fire by little and little till the fume which issueth be reddish, then continue the greater Fire, until drops like blood come forth, and no more fume will issue forth, and when that leaveth bleeding let it cool or asswage the Fire by little and little, and when all things are cold, then take away the Receiver, and close it fast suddenly, that the Spirits vanish not away, for this Liquor is called, our blessed Liquor, which Liquor keep close stopped in a Glass till hereafter. Then look into the Neck of the Retort, and therein you shall find a white hard Ryme as it were the Congelation of a Frosty vapour or much like sublimate, which gather with diligence and keep it apart, for therein are contained great Secrets which shall be shewed hereafter, after the great Work is ended.

Completion of Great Work

Accurtation of the Great Work which Raved half the Work and Labour in the Work revealed by Sr. George Ripley.

The white Frosty Ryme or Powder whereof I told you in the beginning, being found in the Neck of the Retort, after the drawing of the Menstrue is like Sublimate, and is perfect Sulphur of Nature, and therefore needeth neither Putrifaction nor Digestion unto white, of this Sulphur take either the half, or the whole if you list, and also take so much of the Lune Ferment, when it is Firment of Ferments as may contain the 4th part of the said Sulphur, seal them up both together in a Chemia and fix them together under the Fire in a fixatory Vessel, which will be well done in three days, and when they are become one very fine White Powder, then Incerate, that is to say, Imbibe it with the White Oyl of our Stone, which is our Mercury, congealed, and imbibe and iterate this Work, and in all points do as you did in the White Work, in the great Elixir before, for this Sulphur is of the same Nature, and thus shall you have the white Work perfectly made, and the Stone in half the time, and with half the Labour; which is not only a precious Jewel, but a great secret also.

The like Accurtation of the Red-Work done by the aforesaid Sulphur.

Take either the one half or the whole of this abovesaid Sulphur of Nature, and dissolve it once with our red Mercury congeal it again, and then Seal it up in Chymea and set it in Cinerition (or Ashes) till it be thoroughly digested, and until it hath put on his Purple Colour or Fiery Chariot, then put thereunto so much of the Ferment of Soll, when it is Ferment of Ferments, as may contain the 4th part of the said Sulphur, then fix them together under a Fire in a fixatory Vessel, which will be well done in 3 days, and when they be become one very fine Red Powder, then Incerate, that is, Imbibe it with the red Oyl of our Stone, which is our red Mercury and red Lunary, and Fire of the Stone, and continue in doing in all points as in the great Work aforesaid until the Stone be hard, transparent in Colour like a Ruby or Jacinth flowing in Fire, and not evaporating, then have you with less Labour and Expense of time the perfect Red-Stone for the which thank God.

This is the pleasant and dainty Garden of the Philosophers, which beareth the sweet smelling Roses white and red, abbreviated out of all the Work of the Philosophers, containing in it nothing superfluous or diminished, teaching to make infinitely Gold or Silver according as the Medicine was prepared, having Vertue to heal also all Griefs and Sicknesses as well proceeding of cold as of hot Causes through the subtilty of his Nature, above all other Medicines of Physitians, for it comforteth the Healthy, strengthneth the weak, and maketh the Aged seem Young, and driveth away all Grief, and putteth venom from the Heart, it moysteth the Arteries and joynts it dissolveth all things in the Lungs, it cleanseth the Blood, it purgeth the Pipes, and keepeth them clean, and if the Sickness be of one Months continuance, it healeth it in one day, if of one Years continuance, it healeth it in 12 days, and if the grief be very old, it healeth in one Month. To conclude, whosoever hath this Medicine, he hath an incomparable Medicine above all Treasures of the World, Praise God.

But there was only one Alchemist (Basil Valentine) who tried to make this "White Frost" but in a wrong way, because the actual writings of George Ripley is clearly telling us that the process is far different from the original…

Basil Valentine wrote:

But if you desire to know all the secret of Saturn, I will set you down one process out of Paracelsus: When you have well prepared the Heart of Saturn, saith he, take two or three ounces of that Heart and grind it small with double the weight of Saltpeter and put it in a subliming glass with a head well luted to sublime, increasing the fire by little and little as long as anything will ascend or sublime. Thus far Paracelsus. Now if you would find this true, Ripley will tell you what you shall do in these words.

"When by the violence of the fire in the distillation of the Gum of the Sericon, a certain white matter shall ascend sticking to the head of the limbeck, like ice, keep the matter, which hath the property of Sulphur, not burning, and is fit matter for receiving form. You shall give it form after this manner by rectifying it in ashes; and when it is red Sulphur, give it of its Soul until it pierce and flow, then ferment it."

After all if this White Frost will be known to other Alchemists, then according to Ripley the whole work can be done in a very short time, as he guides us in his writings.

So here I want to give another post on the same subject, which is so important, as we also have read in many books of the philosophers who followed this humid long way, but non of them was ever able to make such a thing in their writings, which only the Ripley was made in his experiments some hundreds of years ago. He was far different from other Alchemists, even to the Basil Valentine, who also wrongly guide us or claimed that such a thing can be made in another way as he mentioned in his writings, but all was from his false assumption. And if we talk about the reason that why no alchemist was able to replicate the exact work as is written, then the reason tells us that there is a difference b/w their works from the start. Which no one, even the Basil Valentine was able to find. And as regards to the name of Basilius, then along with this wrong information I also saw many other wrong works in his writings, where on one side he seems to be much accomplished Alchemist but on the other side he was even not knowledgeable to a very tiny information about the right manner of working, and so in all his writings he did many mistakes without having any proper knowledge of the same thing, so what I say here that to follow the writings of such an Alchemist also needs a working mind of a practitioner otherwise he will face many traps in his works.

So the topic of this post was that if someone able to discover the right way of Ripley that how he was able to make such a White Frost in his work, then the long humid way, will become a short dry way, by using his White Frost according to the instructions of Ripley.

And this is a light which he was showed to us, which no one able to point out this very little information from the writings of a well known Adept, and on the other side there was also no Alchemist who was able to replicate this work of Ripley along with the appearance of a White Frost in his work, which I say was a great Discovery indeed and only because of this, he elevates his level above from the other Alchemists, and through this he was able to change the old tradition of long humid way into a short dry way, which is not a small thing but only the work of an Artist.

Regards.
Salaam.

I just stumbled on this information from other site...

Green Lion wrote:

Solar Rays on Silver Nitrate and Chloride
book pag 90 : L'Alchimie, antique science de demain, by an anonymous author, pseudonym Loic Tréhédel Editions du Rocher (Paris 1999) 143 pages
Here quote all pag 90

Our research into the fixation of the solar rays

Silver Chloride or Nitrate is exposed to the sun, spread out on a glass plate, until total decomposition. Next, the salt, which has become violet, is recycled to regenerate the initial chloride or nitrate and re-exposed to the sunlight. All of this is repeated a great number of times. After each recycling cycle, the salt leaves behind a very small amount of a black residue from which one extracts an even smaller quantity (a few milligrams in the best case) of a white substance that becomes red in the light and also becomes oily. This substance, which has powerful transmutation capabilities, unfortunately seems to be incompatible with the philosophical Mercury and can thus not be multiplied.

Our experiments are continuing in other directions, notably with a nitrate or chloride that doesn't come from the ordinary metal but from the alchemical Sulfur of silver. In this way we hope to obtain larger quantities of this Solar Fire.

African alchemists, that we know, seem to have obtained encouraging results with the study of the dissociation of hydrated copper sulfate (CuSO4.5H2O) under the intense sun in Zaire.

GreenLion

The transformation of the silver calx under the sun is a chemical phenomenon and not a transmutation.

What are my arguments?

There are two.

The first one is that I have already realized some lime of silver calx several times and that when it is left under the sun some seconds, it becomes purple dark. To make it, I was only dissolving some silver in some nitric acid. Then I added a solution saturated by salt (NaCl). It gives a beautiful white powder. Just by leaving it with the sun, it begins by taking a purple dark colour. We do not need to use a magnifying glass or to put the silver calx in the sun of noon.

The second reason is that I know the author of the work who was quoted by Alfr. He explained me his practice. The purple colour is not really important. What is important, it is the fatigue of the metal (here the silver) by the fact of a crystallization then a solution (solve and coagula). It allows the silver "to lose" its identity of silver.

Furthermore, the fact of making it under the sun allows the silver of got the sun sulfur. But the colour of the lime of silver calx has here no importance.

In knowledge that the quantity of obtained oil is really very low and that this experiment has only an educational interest. It is necessary to use at least 100 g of silver to hope to have 0.5g of this oil. Its properties of transmutation are 1: 1. Thus even by making it well, not enough chance to observe a tangible result.

So what Green Lion said, that this experiment is only for education, this is why I posted it here, because sometimes early when I was telling about using the common Fire in place of using Rays of the Sun, then I was said that according to the alchemical perspective both works the same, because the origins of our common Fire also have in the Rays of the Sun, but Sun Rays have some more of the subtle and purified form of the fiery Spirit in place of common Fire, but we can use common Fire to effect the same change what we might get from the Rays of the Sun. So this is the theory what I am proving here…

Another experiment on the same subject of Rays of the Sun.

Sun Rays wrote:

Silver Transmuted into nascent Gold by the Action of Light
In the focus of a burning-glass, twelve inches in diameter, place a glass flask, two inches in diameter, containing nitric acid, diluted with its own volume of water.

Pour into the nitric acid, alternately, small quantities of a solution of nitrate of silver and of muriatic acid, the object being to cause the chloride of silver to form in a minutely divided state, so as to produce a milky fluid, into the interior of which the brilliant convergent cone may pass, and the currents generated in the flask by the heat may so drift all the chloride successively through the light.

The chloride, if otherwise exposed to the sun, merely blackens on the surface, the interior parts undergoing no change: this difficulty, therefore, has to be avoided. The burning-glass promptly brings on a decomposition of the salt, evolving, on the one hand, chlorine, and disengaging a metal on the other. Supposing the experiment to last two or three entire hours, the effect will then be equal to a continuous midday sun of some seventy-two hours. The metal becomes disengaged very well. But what is it? It cannot be silver since nitric acid has no action upon it. It burnishes in an agate mortar, but its reflection is not like that of silver, for it is yellowish, like that of gold.

The light must therefore have so transmuted the original silver as to enable it to exist in the presence of nitric acid.

So as I was also said there, that common Fire is a concentrated form of the Rays of the Sun, so the use of common Fire is more effective in place of Sun Rays, here is the proof…

Common Fire wrote:

Tincture of Silver through Fire
A quantity of Silver was in a melting test, kept constantly fused by day, and ignited by night, for six weeks together. During the day-time, little bits of sulfur were continually thrown behind and near about the containing vessel; so that the fume, or rather the substance of the sulfur was, in the burning, strongly driven, under the form of flame and gross smoke, or flowers, upon the melted Silver, and made incessantly to play upon its surface, and insinuate itself in the substance. To promote which end, the furnace was also artificially contrived for the purpose, and the vessel containing the Silver placed in a tube, as it were, under a muffle that remained everywhere close but at the mouth, which stood constantly open. The structure and contrivance here required, may be conceived by considering the ends proposed to be answered which depends upon three things: viz. (1) that the Silver with its vessel may be put into the Tube. (2) That the sulfur may be commodiously thrown behind the vessel containing the Silver: and (3) that the fume of the burning sulfur may constantly drive in upon and pass over the surface of the Silver.

The effect of the operation is said to have been such, that in course of time the Silver became first black, then white again, after this, yellow and at last red; or even of a very deep ruddy or blood color; and also appeared in the form of a very subtle powder: which powder of itself had no entrance at all into melted Silver; but being projected upon twice its weight of fine Gold, mixed itself therewith, and transmuted into a glassy Substance, which in an instant mixed with melted Silver, so as to change a hundred and sixty four times its own quantity thereof into perfect and most permanent Gold. During the six weeks the operation continued, the matter was often taken out, at which times it was observed to appear like a vitreous body; and being beat or ground fine in a mortar, it was again set into its place; and the sulfuration all along continued by day: So that for the conduct and success of the experiment it may well be called, as it is in the Title, A remarkable Operation.

This is the power of Fire, which is not like any of the result which was obtained by using the Rays of the Sun, where they get sometimes a little quantity of Oil or sometimes a middle type of Gold, called nascent Gold, but here when Fire is used in this experiment then the result is a tincture which transmutes the same kind of Silver into Gold by 164 times of its weight.

So as I was said in my thread of Modern science, that the Rays of the Sun carries the most subtle and purest form of the Fiery Spirit, which result we see above in two experiments, and as I was also said that the common Fire is a more concentrated or intense form of the Rays of the Sun, whose result we also see above in an Experiment, so the conclusion of all of these three experiments is that if we concentrate the purest form of fiery Spirit which dwells in the Rays of the Sun by using the Parabolic Mirror or Fresnel Lens, then in place of using the common Fire, the above same experiment can be done on Silver in a more better way, in a very short time and without any expense because of no common fire.

But using the Sulfur also plays an important role in this experiment, which never should to be ignore in preparing the red tincture of Silver. And it is the only Key by the help of which the Solar Spirit of the Sun will condense over the body of Silver into a red tincture.

As when I was reading Glauber then on this topic once he was said, that “There can be no doubt, that the inner of the moon (silver) contains more colour (tincture) than the sun (gold), because the moon is completely red inside, while the sun is blue, this one should note.”

Merelle in Mysteries of Alchemy also gives a similar Process for Silver but without Solar Rays or Fire.

Merelle wrote:

The best time to dissolve silver is in the late autumn months or the early spring months, and this is also mentioned in literature about alchemy.

One now puts the silverware, perhaps folded together or broken into pieces, in a glass, it could be an empty jam jar, and places it into a box of sand under a (halfroof?, lean too?) in a shed, or on a (one of those platforms on a house, with no walls or roof?).

Then one pours nitric acid over it, and not more, than the silverware is just covered.

At low temperature there is hardly any nitrous oxides given of, but something is happening in the silver just the same. It takes on a yellowish colour, and sometimes one can smell very faint acid fumes.

The process takes time, so one lets the glass sit quite undisturbed for a week or two. At the same time one must assure that solution sits (stands) in a place where it cannot accidentally be toppled over by cats, porcupines, or other animals.

Over time the silver is dissolved, and if there is copper in it, the liquid turns blue. One then dilutes with a little water and can take the glass back indoors.

As soon as the salt water comes in contact with the silver nitrate solution, the liquid turns milky white. It is silver chloride that now precipitates, and it resembles lumpy (sour milk, thick milk).

The white precipitate is now (rinsed, washed, flushed) once with water, and then the bowl of silver chloride is set aside with abundant water.

Something very strange will now take place. The white silver chloride will, in the course of some hours form coral like formations of snowy white branches, moving from the bottom upwards. The long fine branches sometimes resemble thin icicles with flowers, and they gradually take on a violet sheen. Sometimes they (hang down) from the surface of the liquid as thin needles with (rimfrost, “icefeathers”, think of an icy windshield) on them. Here we have an example of silvers cold, moonlike character. Flowers are formed, that resemble the winter nights magic with the growths of nature.

The process continues for some hours, and when no more crystals are formed, they all slowly sink down to the bottom of the bowl.

Chemically seen, the crystals form at a certain (acidity level, PH) in the liquid, after the original nitric acid had been diluted with salt water and then washed, flushed once with water.

I measured the PH value, that is, the acidity, in the water wherein the crystals grew. It was between 0,5 and 1,0, still a strong acid, but diluted with water.

The beautiful white coral branches of silver chloride can only be formed, if they get time and calm (if they can take their time), and one will not get to see them in a modern laboratory, where time is a factor, one doesn’t like. When the silver chloride crystals have settled to the bottom of the bowl, one (rinses, flushes) several times with water and set the precipitate aside in a moist state.

The silver chloride, that was white to begin with, now becomes more and more violet. The colour is as that of (forest “viols” (a flower)), and if the silver chloride is left in the bowl in a moist state, and (s)lightly covered, so it will not be exposed to direct sunlight, the colour will last almost indefinitely.

It is this blue violet colour that alchemists call the “soul” of silver. It has (though?) the moons (shifty, changeable) nature and is so impressionable, that it can become both rosy coloured and completely red. J. R. Glauber has said the following about silver in a scripture from 1659:

There can be no doubt, that the inner of the moon (silver) contains more colour (tincture) than the sun (gold), because the moon is completely red inside, while the sun is blue, this one should note.-
(De L’oeuvre Minerale, p. 60)

So the blue white silver chloride can become (rosy, pink) and red.

A new translated version of Merelle's Book, have many beautiful pictures.

Another similar experiment on Silver Chloride which relates to Alchemy somewhere…

Bartlett wrote:

Here is a method for preparing a tincture from silver as given by the twentieth century alchemist Fulcanelli:
To begin, we need Horn Silver which occurs as the mineral Cerargyrite, consisting mainly of silver chloride. Pure silver metal dissolved into nitric acid then precipitated with a solution of sea salt will also work for this experiment. Wash the precipitate (which is silver chloride) with water then dry it. Next, mix it with three times its weight of Sal Ammoniac and grind it well together. Now gently sublime the powder and collect all that will come over.
Dissolve the sublimate in rainwater and let it settle. You will see a red to brown fine solid fall to the bottom. This solid contains the Lunar Sulfur. Decant off the clear liquid and save it. Wash the solids several times with rainwater then place the solids into a dish to dry. Collect together all of the dried solid as a powder then extract it with rectified wine alcohol (95% or better) for a month. The resulting clear, golden alcohol extract is a Tincture of Silver and contains the Lunar Sulfur for use. Your Sal Ammoniac can be recovered for future use by evaporating the liquid you decanted from the solids earlier.

As I was said in my previous post,

Traveller wrote:

I used the word in the end "somewhere", because I had a doubt on this method, that this is referring to something in a wrong way, actually this method was taken from the book of Bartlett "Real Alchemy", which he again copied from other book, which is from Fulcanelli's "Les Demeures Philosophales" (The Dwelling of the Philosophers), but again not only he copied but he also changed the right manner of working as was written in the writings of Fulcanelli. As Bartlett was done with the method of Uriine Alkahest which he was taken from the book of John French, so the real method as is written in the book of Fulcanelli is this, you read and compare both of the methods that what is a difference and what mistakes Bartlett was done after going out of the way,...

This method should to be understood in the same sense as B. Valentine also instructed us in his writings to work in this way.

Fulcanelli wrote:

The favorite technique to extract the metallic sulphur is the one which uses sublimation. Here are a few procedures given as indications.

Dissolve some pure silver in hot nitric acid according to the manipulation previously described, and then dilute this solution with hot distilled water. Decant the clear liquor so as to separate, if need be, the slight black deposit, mentioned earlier. Let it cool down in a dark laboratory and pour into the liquor little by little either a filtered solution of sodium chloride or pure hydrochloric acid. The silver chloride will precipitate to the bottom of the vessel in the form of a curdled white mass. After letting it sit for 24 hours, decant the acidulated supernatant water, wash it rapidly with cold water, and dry it spontaneously in a room where no light penetrates. Then weigh your silver salt, with which you will intimately mix three times as much of pure ammonium chloride. Put everything into a tall glass retort of such capacity that only the bottom of it is covered by the saline mixture. Give it a gentle heat in a sand bath and increase it by degrees. When the temperature is sufficient, the sal ammoniac will rise up and cover the top and the neck of the apparatus with a firm layer. This snowwhite, rarely yellowish sublimate might lead you to believe that it contains nothing special. Skillfully break the retort, carefully detach this white sublimate, dissolve it in distilled water, hot or cold. Once the dissolution has been achieved, you will find at the bottom a very fine, bright red powder; it is a part of the sulphur of silver or lunar sulphur, detached from the metal and volatilized by the sal ammoniac during its sublimation.

However, in spite of its simplicity, this operation does not proceed without some big problems. Although it seems simple, it demands great skill, a lot of prudence in the management of the heat. If you do not want to lose half and more of the metal, you must first and above all avoid the fusion of the salts. Yet, of the temperature does not reach the required degree to cause and maintain the fluidity of the mixture, no sublimation occurs. Furthermore, as soon as the temperature is established, the silver chloride, already very penetrating by itself, acquires such a bite in contact with the sal ammoniac, that it will pass through the glass walls (10) and escape outside. The artist cannot even resort to using stoneware, earthenware or porcelain retorts, which are even more porous than those of glass, all the more because he must constantly be able to observe the progress of the reactions if he wishes to be in a position to intervene at the right moment. Therefore, there are in this method, as in many others of the same order, certain secrets of practice which the archemists have prudently reserved for themselves. One of the best ones consists in dividing the mixture of chlorides by interposing an inert body capable of impasting the salts and hindering their liquefaction. This matter must possess neither reducing qualities nor catalytic virtues; it is also essential that it can easily be separated from the caput mortuum. Formerly, pulverized brick was used and a variety of absorbents such as putty powder, pumice stone, pulverized flint, etc. Unfortunately, these substances yield a very impure sublimate. We give preference to a certain product which has no affinity for silver or ammonium chloride, which we extract from Judean bitumen. In addition to the purity of the sulphur obtained, the technique becomes very easy. We can easily reduce the residue into a metallic silver and reiterate the sublimations until the complete extraction of the sulphur. The residual mass is then no longer reducible and presents itself in the shape of a gray, soft, very sweet ash, greasy to the touch, which retains fingerprints and
loses in a short time half of its weight of specific mercury.

There procedures looks like the same, but still there is a difference lies in the Alchemical sense.

Actually Bartlett missed one thing in this method, and Fulcanelli is also telling us, that we have to be very careful that we don't let the calx of Silver fuse or melt, otherwise the operation creates much difficulty, but in place of this, if we look in the writings of Basil Valentine then he instructs us a more better way to make the Calx of Silver, which will be like an ultramarine color through calcination, which is the right way to work on it for extracting the sulfur of Lune,...

Basilius wrote:

Soul or Sulphur of Lune
Take common Salt-peter and quick or unslaked Lime, reverberate them together in a wind furnace with the strongest fire, extract again the Salt-peter with warm rain water and coagulate it to dryness; mingle again with it new quick Lime, reverberate it and extract again; repeat this the third time. This being done take Calx of Silver, being after the dissolution in an Aqua fort prepared, and mix it with prepared Salt-peter; put it into a glass viol, pour on it common Aqua fort such as the goldsmiths use, made of Salt-peter and Vitriol, and draw it off by distillation in hot sand. Pour on it some fresh Aqua fort and having distilled it likewise, repeat it the third time, giving at last a very strong fire, that the matter in the glass may flow very well. Let it cool of itself in the furnace and the Silver will become transparent blue in one piece. Extract this with Vinegar till you can extract no more. Edulcorate that which is extracted with water, that the Salt may be separated from it.

Cohobate Vinegar upon the dry Sulphur till it come over like a Saphire. Reduce the same Silver into small filings and add to it its weight of Sal-armoniack and sublime it in a glass body and the Sal-armoniack carrieth with it the Sulphur of Lune of a very pleasant sky-colour. Put this sublimate into a dish of glass, edulcorate it well with rain water, first distilled, and the Sal-armoniack will be separated. Then dry the Sulphur of Lune, put it into a little body and pour on it good rectified Spirit of Wine and set it twenty-four hours in heat and the Spirit of Wine doth imbibe the Sulphur of Lune, a fine transparent blue, like a Saphire or Ultramarine, and leaveth some few feces behind, which separate from it.

Another same description of the method from the writings of Basilius,...

Basilius wrote:

Sulfur of Lune
Calcined Salt: Take of Calx vive and common Salt and, neal them together in a wind oven; then extract the Salt purely from the Calx with warm water; coagulate it again, put to it an equal quantity of new Calx, neal it, extract the Salt from it, iterate it three times, then is the Salt prepared.

Sulfur of Lune: Then take the prepared Lunar Calx, stratify the Calx with prepared Salt in a glass viol, pour strong water on it, made of equal quantities of Vitriol and Saltpeter, abstract the aqua fort from it, iterate this three times, at last drive it strongly, let the matter melt well in the glass, then take it forth and your Lune is transparent and blueish like an Ultramarine. Having brought Lune thus far, then pour on it strong distilled Vinegar and set it in a warm place, the Vinegar is tinged with a transparent blue, like a Saphire and attracteth the tincture of Lune, being separated from the Salt and all which comes from Lune goeth again into the Vinegar, which must be done by edulcoration; then you will find the Sulphur of Lune fair and clear.

In the first step of the operation in both of the methods, we should to be keep in mind, that he is doing only the Calcination and not the Cementation of Silver, which are two different alchemical processes and brings different results on common Silver.

Conclusion of these methods,...

First, we should to note, that there is a difference b/w the method of Bartlett and Fulcanelli, only an alchemical sense can reveal it.

Second the difference b/w the method of Basil Valentine and Fulcanelli is very small, but both of their meanings are the same for extracting the Sulfur of Lune, which again can only be understood through a philosophical eye.

Third, as both the Basil Valentine and Fulcanelli made the calx of Silver in the first step, then this step can be substituted by using the Glauber’s Sal Mirabile in a more developed and better way, which will shorten the time and expenses to go through this step of preparing the Calx by using the long calcinating fire or poisonous acids, as both of them tell us in their writings.

I am clearing this topic, because this is from one of the information, where I ever get confused to work in this way, and why I confused, again an Alchemical sense can tell the words.

Actually there were three things which were attributed to all the works belongs to this word “Silver”, first I was completed before beginning in Alchemy, second I recently understood which is a thing belongs to my discovery of Jupiter, and third is which I am clearing here, which is the last thing belongs to this subject.

But these two philosophers (Fulcanelli and Basilius) are not enough for the better understanding of this last topic which belongs to Silver, so I want to quote from other Philosophers, but actually the matter of truth is that this is one of the information which is really hard to find, but also the different methods written on this subject can be distinguish by two words, which words will be one of the highest secret of our Alchemy, so in the alchemical journey everyone should to be aware of these two words which even a child can understand if I tell him.

I will continue my second post on the above methods, which topic deserves some more words,…

After extracting and sharing the useful writings of Glauber, I am here telling now the main reason behind sharing his works, that why I called it, a work of a beginner, because according to the alchemical perspective, there are three steps involved in case we work on anything, first is the preparation of the Matter, second is separating the 3 essentials and third is the conjunction to make one perfect medicine.

So the works of Glauber which I shared, carries the first key which belongs to the preparation of the matter, which as I said is a first step to work on anything, that’s why I was called the works of Glauber is the work of a beginner.

So after the right preparation of the matter which is not a small thing, we can work on it or separate its essentials either by using the common Menstruum (alcolized Spirit of Wine of Glauber) or of the Philosophical Menstruum.

So now you will realize that why I call the works of Glauber, a work of a beginner, because through this step a practitioner will learn the first step that how to prepare the matter.

Which in the method of Fulcanelli, he is not preparing it in a proper way, but Basilius is telling us the right preparation of the matter, as a blue calx of Silver. But how and where the works of Glauber can serve us on the preparation of this blue calx of Silver. It is this step where without using any corrosive or dangerous acids, or any longer preparation by using the Fire, we will so easily prepare the blue calx of Silver. Which preparation of the matter our ancients had a difficulty or most of them wasn’t in the right knowledge of it, because it is, I say a very difficult work which only can be understood by a philosopher. So the Baslius gives us the right preparation of the matter, where the both Alchemists as above are using the high corrosives and following a difficult work, but according to the writings of Glauber, the right and easy way of preparing all the 7 matters I will show in my writings.

As I already said that there are total 4 secret Salts, out of which Glauber was in knowledge of the two. After the topic of Silver, his second secret Salt, is his secret Sal Ammoniac, which works best on Gold, to make its calx, which again if we read the history and more especially the writings of Basilius, then we will realize that how much a difficult work he was done only on preparing the Purple Calx of Gold, which according to the method of Glauber can be achieve in few hours.

So my friend this is why I call the works of Glauber a work of a beginner, that at the very first a person will learn that how to prepare the matter, then this is the point where a practitioner separates the two different works, (Minus and Major) by using different of the Menstruum (Common or Philosophical).

So preparing or opening the matter is not a simple thing, that’s why I said that to prepare the matter is a very difficult work, but as I mentioned above, that Basilius prepared the purple calx of Gold, but according to the strategy followed by Glauber, we will not get the calx in such a state as Basilius was made, but according to the Glauber we will end up with a red Glass, which after using either of the Menstruums (Simple or Philosophical), can be brought into a good medicines (Particular or Universal).

And it should to be notice that even by following the strategy of Glauber, we will not able to make the same purple calx of Gold, but through red calx of Gold, the medicine will be prepared with a same power as Basilius was made.

This is again a topic which needs a clarification that I want to bring the truth in front of the eyes of everyone.

I start here, as we see the description of Glauber’s Aurum Potabile at first, then what Glauber is saying, his words are not simply to be understood that Philosophers had or not had the knowledge of rightly preparing the Gold, as we can see, that neither the Basilius nor any other philosopher was in the knowledge of a simple method to prepare Gold in such a state where we can work on it, and if the ancients prepare the metal of Gold, then they go through a very difficult task, and made such words “THAT IT IS EASY TO MAKE GOLD THAN TO DESTROY IT", as Glauber is also repeating it in his writings. So these words and the long and laborious method of Basilius is the EVIDENCE that our ancients had a difficulty in preparing the calx of Gold, and what Basilius was made, it is not the right form but a sophisticated form of calx, which he was made after making such a sharp acids, then joining it with these prepared acids, and opening through Sal Ammoniac and drawing over the helm, then precipitating through Mercury and separating through Sulfur, and then he was got the purple calx of Gold, which after passing all these steps, will be not alone but there will be other things contaminated with the pure metal, so the Glauber was shown to us a simple and easy way to do the same thing, where we don’t use anything extra or don’t follow any long and hard labor, but by using a very simple means, we can prepare the calx of Gold through his secret Sal Ammoniac, in an easy one step.

But if I don’t say that our ancients were not in the knowledge of preparing the gold, then we can say that they somewhere tried in this way for preparing the same calx of Glauber, like in “Treatise on Gold”, Johan Agricola was mentioned a method in start of his book, where he used salt of harts horn, where he is telling us that the body of Gold becomes opened and through this simple process by without using any corrosive can be bring into a form of calx, from where can be extracted a good Tincture of Gold, and in the book of Merelle she also followed the same way, so these statements tells us that they tried to make such a thing, but they don’t have the proper knowledge to make the right Salt which serves to open the body of Gold, which only the Glauber was discovered after going deep in discovering such a thing in all of his writings.

And now there is one thing in the end which I want to clear, that it is without doubt that the actual calx of Gold will show a purple color, then how we will follow the way of Glauber to make such a thing, find it yourself, or in my writings I will give the step by step details to make the same thing by a very simple means. And then after this we will divert the words of the Ancients, that "IT IS DIFFICULT TO MAKE GOLD THAN TO DESTROY IT", because these words about making gold are very famous in our native land where peoples after hearing the stories about Silver makers, always use to say this, that "OFCOURSE TO MAKE GOLD IS A VERY DIFFICULT WORK IN PLACE OF MAKING SILVER".

End of the topic which I was started from the wrong method of Bartlett.

I collected some information about blue Silver and purple Gold.

Blue Silver wrote:

“In the Joachimica valley Dr Schreterus bears witness that silver grew a finger’s length from the rocks of the mine as if from a root in the manner and fashion of grass, he often showed and gave away veins of this kind in his own home, lovely and wonderful to behold. Also a sky-blue water was found at Annenberg where silver was still in its first state, which was solidified and made into pebble of good firm silver.”

I was met with a guy who brought the Silver ores from the mines and through smelting he was separating the Silver from the stone. It is really different in the ores of Silver that it grow in the mines like a needles or hairs.

Purple Gold wrote:

Phenols (Red Oak & Red Grape)
It is because of the tartar where the phenols of the red oak meet with those of the red grape. David Hudson's team analyzed both to contain a high degree of phenols (monatomic gold/rhodium), these phenols are literally the purple gold, that you can make by finely disaggregating pure gold metal and also by roasting ores such as sulfide and arsenic gold bearing ores. In fact you can obtain these phenols from these purple foods as well and turn them back to gold. The plants take them out of the air and the soil and the water from which they grow.

I personally don't think that alchemy can save the World. I appreciate what the Ancients attempted back in the early 1600's when they tried to change the world for the better. They created the initial ripple, but it never really went anywhere. Rather than an honest, spiritual world.

Alchemy alone can save the world, even it can gives us a new world of wonders, if there is born someone who can actually understand it, because Alchemy is not alone, but it is the mother of all the sciences, which sciences are said to be “Errors” as I was read in an alchemy book. So the foundation and basic education start from our Alchemy, we can invite to any doctor or engineer or PHD, and show to them, the power of our science, which will be a new start for them, in case when they will realize that how our science can cover every matter of this world, even below or above.

PulvisRubeus wrote:
At that time, there will be desire for change and a better world. But it won't come from Alchemy alone. It comes from the divine spirits kept alive in individual souls. From those who can still hope and who can see a better world through all the filth and materialistic idols/gods Man has created.

Again I don’t think, even I believe that this change will never be occur until someone will not realize the Art of Alchemy and its hidden meanings.

It is the Philosophy that will win in the end, not the Practice.

The subtle form of our Art we call PHILOSOPHY, which is not yet to come in this world to becomes in ACT, we use it because there are something’s which are above the understanding of a common mind or even it cannot be prove through our modern science, like how nature works under earth or above the earth and takes millions of years, so in case we use the power of our Philosophy to understand and prove the mysteries of nature in this way.

PulvisRubeus wrote:
There is an increasing subliminal awakening taking place across the World, but this may take time before it reaches a critical point.

My friend IT WILL NOT TAKE THIS WORLD TO ANYWHERE, it is these words which you said at the start about Alchemy, I can see it what you said here “an increasing subliminal awakening” but without the proper foundation and education of our Art no one in this world can get anywhere. And how and where they are awakening I can only see them on the slumber side on the bed.

PulvisRubeus wrote:
The brainwashing/indoctrination has been far too strong over the centuries for most of the sheep, and it will take time for the awakening to occur for the majority who have been far too susceptible because of their laziness, self-interest, and irresponsible actions.

Yes in the end they will realize the better ideas to grow and produce more better things, as at the very first and also in the last I would like to mention one thing which they learned to produce, which is how to make MONEY, how and where to spend it, they will realize in upcoming future some better ways to make money that how much they can get, and there is nothing we will see lately in the running time. And I must say here that what mentioned before a subliminal awakening it is also having the cause somewhere because of their deeper wish to make their future only in the way when they will become rich and wealthier, this is the main root cause, that why they educate themselves, why they do jobs, why they run fast as they are in a race, where they have to beat others, which is the main cause for creating everything they have made yet in this world, and still waiting for creating the more, which doesn’t involve anywhere any SPIRITUAL side so with this physical, and totally practicing mind, how they will discover the Spiritual Awakening, doesn’t make any sense to us.

Personally I want to say, that I can show to the world the depth of my philosophical mind, and also prove it whatever I say, which is not a fantasy or dream, but it goes way beyond the world of dreams, which I call it “Lunar”, as we are the “Solar”. In fact I can write a book or make a thread on Spiritual Awakening which can give to the world a new start and a new way to perceive things around us, but because of their ignorance and wish to succeed in this destructible world, my words may or may not hit to the center of their brain, which is already totally ruined and adapted a form in this physical world, which sometimes even I scared that lest they will create or leave any bad influence on my sense of spiritual awakening.

As I would like to give an example of this spiritual Awakening, which might looks strange to others, that when an OLD MAN forget something then normally the world say that its a bad or negative thing which should to be cure or mend, but in the spiritual sense what it represents they are not aware any of it, and if I give a reason and cause of this forgetfulness then they will surprise to have this little information which belongs to this world of spiritual awakening.

Regards.

I think we're basically saying the same thing. The awakening involves getting away from the powerful magnet of the physical motivations, and realizing that the only real thing in this world that is important is our own spiritual evolvement. Yes, it is possible that Alchemy can be a trigger for this, but again, look at all the practitioners today. Are they following alchemy because they want to advance themselves spiritually? Are they focusing on the spirit part of the process? No, many are hoping to make gold so that they can enrich themselves. Others are looking for longer lives so they can enjoy the physical world longer. They disregard the spiritual part of alchemy and see the recipes as purely literal, physical processes. The same indoctrinations at work in society in general are at work in many of those who practice alchemy.

Thus, it's not alchemy that can awaken people from their materialistic slumber. It's something much deeper. It's an awareness that things are not etched in Stone, and that the very people who rule society are the ones moving society away from the real values and virtues that once were so cherished. It is a type of reinforced indoctrination. We are taught to admire these leaders and to try to live like they do. Thus they lead by example and show that material success is the god we should all strive for.

For some unknown reason, some seem to be naturally much more immune to this indoctrination than others. These are the people snapping their fingers, trying to waken up others from their deep slumber. Thus, as I said, there is a growing subliminal awareness, as slowly, one awakened person wakes another who does the same in turn. The awakening is from within, from our own Wills, from our own sense of what is right and wrong, from the spirit within, from the spiritual goodness that lies deeply buried within, and not from some man-made physical system or recipe.

I was assuming that you were talking about the subliminal awakening which belongs to the common peoples of our present world, which we know are already in ignorance which is hard or almost impossible to awake, but if you are talking about our society peoples who at least took a step to check the reality of our science, then I say yes, it could be possible, but again we don’t have to forget that they also comes from this present modern world, about which you were said a very good words,…

Here what you said is absolutely right.

PulvisRubeus wrote:

This is the same thing I already mentioned on other thread when I was telling to our Angry Alexbr, that,…

If someone has a real intention to learn something, then who am I to teach him, as it is called Alchemy (which is not a specific science on a specific subject) means he can learn from everything, But I can only put the message here, and further all is under the will of a person, that how he after carefully reading the books of the Philosophers goes through his Meditations, Insights, Revelations and Divine Inspirations to discover this Art.

So Pulvis let me tell you, that in my previous and current post I am talking about our common society peoples who don’t have any concern to this Science, so I want to say something more on the same subject that where they are taking to our world.

When I ask them, that why they think like this, why they live for only making MONEY, then they say, that it is in need now, so they are true, because they have to follow the order which they have made, as they have developed this world in such a way where they have to run with this, otherwise if they try to come out of this modern world and jump into our side of Philosophy and in result they feel scary that lest they will not be able to get all the mysteries of Nature then they will be nowhere to go, neither to their previous physical world, nor this spiritual.

As we know that there are two things first is the supper celestial and second is the terrestrial / first belongs directly to Allah, second belongs indirectly or belongs to this present world / first is called Religion which is the science of Allah and second is called Alchemy or Physics which is the science of Nature.

My dream and my believe is that the terrestrial science can connect us to the celestial otherwise I have seen every way to find a possible route which can connect us to our creator, and in fact I searched so far in this way and realized that why in the time of the ancients there were peoples who could having the powers to connect to the second world, Allah send his revelations to them, but now in our present world why these things are being lost from us.

Reason is that making wealth and running a business in place of having proper and deep knowledge about Nature and Religion, these are the things which will take this world in future into his own side, and after this race a lasting end can be seen in future either it involves any world war or not involves any of such things. Because these are the viruses which are growing in our society and in our nation which are taking more to more complicated forms, which cannot anyway to be mend, even I say that the problem of increasingly rising the population of a country is not a much serious thing, than which I am trying to tell here in this post, about which if we ponder then tell me, that is the Nature herself taking from us anything to grow Plants from the Earth, answer is no, then from the same plants if a fodder is needed for an animal to grow, then what we give nature to develop such things from the earth ? Through these facts it clears that Nature is providing us either Plants as vegetables and fruits and on the other side also Animals for eating their meat, all for FREE. Then why we humans are becoming psychic in getting more to more profit from these things. In the same way Nature is producing precious metals and oil, coal, gas free from the Earth, I agree there is some need of machinery for their extraction from the Earth, but the consumption of Money only in extracting these things from the Earth cannot take much from us, in comparison to the production of these things, which Nature is already doing totally free for us in the time period of millions of years. Then why we humans are wishing to gain more to more from these things, where a poor man who don’t have money to survive only have one option, which is to die. So this I say is a virus which is more to more growing in our world and in future we will see the more bad effects which it will develop and leave on our world, which you said a subliminal awakening but you don’t know that without any proper foundation or understanding of our right education, all is in a negative side which will not give us any fruit to enjoy in future, and in place of this it will give us a world full of mental disorders which cannot to be cure and will be like a malignant.

They stamped a photo of their country founder or leader on a piece of paper and make Money which is either ruling or ruing the world, they made boundaries to separate the borders of the two countries, they made sects to create an indifference b/w the two peoples, even all the holy scriptures say that our creator is the only ONE, but there were many messengers or prophets which he sent on earth to convey his message to this world, which message is all about science of Allah (Religion) and science of Nature (Alchemy), and there is nothing except of these two, then why they made such an institutions who gives education to their students about which they themself don’t know that why the things are happening in nature like this, so the thing is that the spiritual awakening should to be at the first to develop a child with a superior knowledge, which will neither rule, nor ruin the world but even feed the world and cherish it to welcome more better nations to come in future.

Because we have to keep one thing in our mind that we have already deprived from our first holy place (Janna/Heaven) then after coming into this world, if still we will make our own paths to follow after leaving the actual two messages about our two initiatory sciences as is said in scriptures then with this our wrong route we will not progress to anywhere but will even lost our way.

Good Night, but on your side there will be a Good Afternoon.
But don’t take it as a difference, its natural. Wink

Well, I wouldn't rely on any so-called "holy" scriptures to tell us about the "one", nor would I rely on any so-called "prophets". They were only people, perhaps even mentally unstable people, so why trust what they had to say? This is the problem with many of the World's religions - they claim to be infallible, yet each one totally disagrees with the other and claims only THEIR version is correct. Yet each is only based on the word of individuals, sometimes even individuals who led corrupt lives and advocated killing others, abusing children, etc. Almost all Religions have become corrupt businesses today, seeking materialistic wealth, egotistic powers, and have little regard for true morals and virtues.

World religions have caused more grief, killings, child abuse, corruption, indoctrination, forced views, theft, hypocrisy, enslavement, total denial of women's equality, male dominance, regression of scientific advancement, establishments of hierarchical systems. racism, etc., than all world Governments put together. The real evil in the world is, and has always been, religion itself.

Instead, personal philosophies and personal spiritualistic pursuits should prevail whereby each individual seeks his/her own access and direct communication to the greater powers, rather than through a highly biased intervener, whether to a simplistic understanding of an individual "one" god, or a more evolved understanding of an encompassing presence that includes all there is.

In case when we go through a translation of a holy book then we get versions, in which case we have to agree that the translation will be a cause in changing the hidden meanings behind the words. But we have to translate to understand these words, because of the difference of our language, and if there is a problem occurs, then we also should to prefer the correction from the other books, or to such peoples who can guide us, I know its difficult but it is also only a way.

As you can see that when Schmeldvich came here then he was hitting a posts one after another because he was following the wrong VERSION, but when I injected a message through the words of a well known hermit Morienus then he quiets himself and get involved in searching the words which I was conveyed to him through books.

When Allah created our first father Adam, then along with him, a negative power Devil/Satan also had been created, so whatever we do, this duality is connected to us, as Allah sent a word of Religion on Earth only for telling the humans a better way of life, which could give us a new way to discover things which are hidden from our sight, but again the negative power was all along us, which deviate the true meanings and in result create such things which you all mentioned in your words. Which is the negative side, of taking something wrongly in act. But we have to search for the positive which only the holy scriptures of Allah and his prophets or messengers can give us, otherwise there is no connection where we can reach to both of the sciences, as Allah says in his words…

Allah wrote:

“And to Allah belong the unknown secrets of the Heavens and the Earth.”

“And with Him are the keys of the Unseen that no one knows except for Him.”

“Say (O’ Muhammad) no one has knowledge of that which is hidden in the Heavens and the Earth except for Allah.”

“The Knower of the Unseen (Allah) so then He does not make known what is hidden to a single person except those whom He is pleased with from amongst His Messengers.”

"None in the heavens and the earth knows the Ghaib (unseen) except Allah, nor can they perceive when they shall be resurrected."

“(He Alone) the All-Knower of the Ghaib (unseen), and He reveals to none His Ghaib (unseen). Except to a Messenger (from mankind) whom He has chosen (He informs him of unseen as much as He likes)"

In the same way I also learned from the books of Allah, and from the words of his messengers, and also from them who followed both of these things (i.e. from the books of the Philosophers).

So without a medium of Alchemy or Nature, a direct connection to Religion or Allah is impossible. And both can be approachable only through books and messengers which are our first and last mediums.
